Ngā Mihi
The Youth Alive Trust Team
It was great to share our story with some of our local Community Board members, including Jo Zervos – Coastal Ward Community Board Member, Celeste Donovan – Councillor for Coastal, and council staff. When you tell your own story to others, it reminds you of its significance and inspires us on! Thanks for listening

Shout out to youth worker Briair who has been a long term attendee, volunteer and staff member at YAT, but is now going onto new adventures. Briair has been a part of the furniture at YAT for nearly 10 years, working with all age groups, and supporting so many young people through our clubs, programmes, events and mentoring. You’re a qualified youth worker now and we know you’ll be a blessing to many more young people wherever you go! You’ll always be a part of our whānau
Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week) has been recognised in Aotearoa since 1975. It’s an official week on our national calendar to honour, celebrate and promote te reo Māori. It’s also a great encouragement to us all to use more te reo Māori in our everyday lives, starting at home with our whānau! Why not try one or two new words of phrases at home this week?! Here’s a Parenting Place article with a few suggestions
Thanks Amy from Earme for coming to help our Craft Club make some amazing polymer clay name ornaments! They loved it!
