**The Outdoor Movie has been cancelled due to the events of earlier today**
The Ray White New Brighton Duke Festival of Surfing is yet another awesome event in New Brighton this weekend. It includes an Art Exhibition at LEVEL ONE Craft Beer and Coffee Bar, the Surf Competitions, a Saturday night concert and a Free Friday Night Outdoor Movie by the Pier – grab a scoop of hot chips or a picnic and enjoy Finding Nemo & The Endless Summer on the HUGE screen!
Youth Alive Trust are looking for an enthusiastic staff member for 25 hours per week to run the after school OSCAR clubs at Beach Campus on weekdays from 1 – 6pm, plus holiday programmes. For more information click on the Seek link, or email: hr@yat.org.nz

Another fun family event this Saturday from 12 – 4pm, as LYFE 2019 celebrates 21 years. Heaps to do including local performers, have-a-go activities, food & info stalls and all activities are FREE!
We’ve had an awesome start to the year, and word has spread at how awesome Girls Club is! So much, that we’ve now stopped registrations for 2019 at 50 girls.

Father Son Camp is coming up on the 8th-10th March, we start after work on the Friday with dinner. It’s an awesome weekend away for intermediate aged boys and their dads(or fill in dad if real dad isn’t around). We head away to the Canterbury high country for a weekend filled with food and outdoor pursuits as well as a few short session to help build on your relationship. Places always fill up fast so register now.

So proud of the many young Youth Alive Trust volunteers who helped at I Love New Brighton 2019 today – amazing face painters, encouraging children on the giant slide and obstacle course, candy floss sales, playdough & water games with the toddlers, nurses volunteering on first aid and even rubbish collecting – you are legends! We were privileged to organise the event for the thousands of people who attended alongside our friends at New Brighton Project Eastern Community Sport and Recreation Inc Wellbeing New Brighton and the Christchurch City Council Coastal Burwood staff.

Looking for after-school care in 2019? Our OSCAR is a bit different as it’s ONLY for School Years 5 – 8 (no little kids), and there’s a different programme everyday, including Kitchen Klub, Craft Club, Park Day, Sports Day and optional Basketball. FREE Van Pick up’s from Rawhiti Primary, New Brighton Catholic and South New Brighton Primary Schools, and if you work or study, you’ll probably qualify for an MSD subsidy!
