A HUGE Thanks to Z Energy New Brighton for choosing Youth Alive Trust to be one of their community projects in the recent Good in the Hood campaign. Thanks to all our supporters who placed over 2,400 orange tokens into our box and helped us raise $782 towards the cost of our camps – we’re feeling the community love
If you need petrol or diesel in the month of May – then consider filling up at Z New Brighton, and putting your Orange Token into the Youth Alive Trust box!!
We’re one of the four groups being supported through Z Energy’s Good in the Hood campaign, which means we’ll get a share of $4,000 towards our programme running costs – depending on how many votes we get! Every donation counts – so maybe you’d even consider becoming a ‘Friend of Youth Alive Trust’, by making a regular donation. More info at this link…

If you’re looking for a New Brighton after-school programme, for just the older kids, that does van pick ups from all 3 of our local schools, is WINZ approved and has organised activities such as basketball, table tennis, crafts, cooking and other social activities with cool youthworkers – then look no further!!! We’re very pleased to be hosting a trainee youth counsellor two afternoons per week, free of charge, with a focus on 10 – 18 year olds. Sydney is a young, friendly, non-threatening face, that young people warm quickly too. She still has spaces available after school on Wednesdays and Thursdays. CLICK HERE for more information.
Parenting Teens and Tweens is one of the hardest jobs in the world! It doesn’t come with a manual but there are a few hints and tips you can pick up, which may make the job a bit easier for everyone. Consider joining a 6 week Parenting Toolbox Course with other local parents starting in Term 2 in New Brighton on Tuesday Nights. Courses are FREE for residents in Greater New Brighton. Holidays: Rest for teachers – crazy times for Youthworkers! We’ve got 80 kids on our first week of holiday pogrammes, and 40 teenagers on our second week of programmes. If you’re not on either and still looking for fun free local activities, head to New Brighton Library at 2:00pm each day, where our Youthworkers are organising a free daily activity – see attached Poster for details.
