Courtyard Mural

Loving the new mural in the youth courtyard at Grace Vineyard Beach Campus, designed and created by local legend Popx and funded by Creative New Zealand through the Christchurch City Council’s, Creative Communities Scheme! It’s a concrete box, but if you can see through the walls (words) you’d see the hills in one direction, the mountains in another and the beach in the other. Sweet place to hang out now that the warmer weather is on its way…

Lots of Holiday Activity Options…

Reminder that there is lots going on for young people in New Brighton in the school holidays, such as todays Sock Puppet workshop, the Eastern Kids Biketober Day! tomorrow at Rawhiti School, Disc Golf Have a Go Day at Rawhiti Domain on Saturday, a free magic/entertainer show on Friday at 2:00pm at the Library with Shad Rutherford, and below is a list of all activities at the Library with support from our youthworkers – note there are still spaces for the afternoon session, Contemporary Maori Poha but bookings are necessary. Make the most of these opportunities people 🙂

Disc Golf – Have a Go Day

Another Free family event in the school holidays in New Brighton! Disc Golf is the greatest sport you have never heard of, and it could come to Rawhiti Domain in the form of an 18-basket course; a free-to-use facility located in the East of the city.  We will have half a dozen short holes set up on the day, and it will be entirely free of charge, disc’s provided too!  You will have a chance to engage with Christchurch Disc Golf members and have all your questions answered.  Click ‘interested’ or ‘attending’ on the event below to remind yourself on the day.  No bookings necessary, just turn up.
