After-School Oscar 2022

Book your place onto our Senior After School Care Oscar in 2022 now, by contacting the Oscar Coordinator by email at: oscar@yat.org.nz  Our programme is only for those in school years 5 – 9, which tends to suit the older ones and means our activities can be more focused to their age.  If you’ve not been to us before, we’ll arrange a meeting with you and your child, to answer your questions, talk about how it works and show you around the facilities.

We run different activities each day which they can chose to join in with as part of Oscar including Kitchen Klub, Basketball Club, Craft Craft, Park Day, Tamatāne Boys Club, Kortirotiro Girls Club & Rock Solid. Our mission is to engage the young people in fun after-school activities, teaching them new things, developing friendships and working to a wellbeing model. Click on ‘Brochure’ to see our parent flyer.

Our vans pick up children from all local schools and brings them back to our venue in central Brighton. School pick up’s include; Rawhiti Primary, New Brighton Catholic, South New Brighton Primary, Nova Montessori and Chisnallwood Intermediate.

If you’re working or studying, check out the subsidy information at the link below, and many people don’t realise they’d qualify  eg: If you have 2 or more children, you need to be earning more than $1,600 per week to not receive any subsidy, or $1,800 per week if you have 3 children.
