Shout out to Speedy Signs Christchurch Central who chose YAT as the winners of their $1,000 of signage competition!! Whoop whoop!!! We bought two much needed new flags, displayed here at the Music Festival this week, plus they speedily made some more Family Fun Night 2024 corflutes! Massive Thanks to Darren & Team!!

Thank you to everyone supporting us at the Christchurch Schools’ Music Festival by buying raffle tickets and making donations – you’re making a difference in the lives of young people of the east! I think the sign really helped!

Big News!! Youth Alive Trust is running its first ever Raffle and local businesses have donated $3,500 worth of prizes!!! We’ve launched sales at this weeks Christchurch School’s Music Festival at the Christchurch Town Hall, as their chosen charity, What an amazing show these tamariki are putting on! Come grab a ticket or 5 at the event, OR we’ll be selling them at clubs, Family Fun Night and our offices in the coming weeks. Massive thanks to these amazing businesses for their donations – we so appreciate you!

Term 4 Weekly Youth Clubs start again in Week 1 on the school term!  The term plans for all our clubs have been uploaded to our website and registrations are already LIVE. Spaces are available at all clubs, so why not try something different?!  If your child or friend is keen to try a new club, but unsure if they’re going to like it, they’re welcome to just give it a try at no cost, if there are still spaces.  Also if money is an issue, please let us know as we can probably help: accounts@yat.org.nz

# Surge is moving to Mondays – for a fresh start, with some new and old activities. All Teens welcome!

# Rock Solid price has dropped to $20 per term PLUS any outings, to make it more accessible.

– Basketball Clubs (School Years 1 – 8) Mondays. Various Times.  $50pp

– Kitchen Klub (School Years 5 – 9) Mondays 4:00-5:30pm  $80pp (including food)

– Surge (School Years 9 – 13) Mondays 6:30-8:30pm. FREE for teenagers (except trips)

– Kōtirotiro Girls Club (School Years 1 – 6) Wednesdays 4:00-5:30pm  $50pp (including trips)

– Tamatāne Boys Club (School Years 1 – 6) Thursdays 4:00-5:30pm  $50pp (including trips)

– Craft Club (School Years 5 – 9) Thursdays 4:00-5:30pm  $60pp (including materials)

Oscar After-School Care

If you’re needing after-school care for your children in Term 4, Youth Alive Trust offers something a bit different, as a Seniors Only option, for School Years 4-9. Van pick ups from SNBS, Rawhiti, NBC, Nova, Chisnallwood, Avonside & Shirley. Most working or studying parents are eligible for govt subsidies. Amplify School of Music
