The community are invited to a large community event on Wednesday 31st October we run as an alternative to Trick or Treating. It’s in its 7th Year and normally attracts 500 – 800 people. We receive a lot of positive feedback from parents who say it takes the pressure off their children asking to go door knocking asking for lollies and it adds such a positive slant to something that is traditionally scary to children. This year entertainers are local clowns Carrot & Pickle, and there will be the usual variety of carnival games, bouncy castle, arts & crafts, games and food. For only a Gold Coin donation, the event runs from 5:00pm – 7:30pm at Grace Vineyard Beach Campus, 111 Seaview Road, New Brighton. We had hugely successful holiday programmes over the October break, and with increased numbers allowed by MSD, we were able to offer 64 places! We run two programmes for 32 children each. Our senior programme included an Ice Day, trips to Air Force Museum, Mini Golf, Tie Dye T-shirts & Hanmer Springs! The junior programme went going bowling, visited Living Springs, Sumner and had a Knights & Princess Day! Big Thanks to all those who voted for Youth Alive Trust in the local Z Petrol Station Competition. We were donated $1050 (from the $5,000 total) which will be used towards supplimenting our Safer Streets Programme costs. Thanks Z! 🙂

FREE School Holiday Activities at New Brighton Library ran by our youthworkers! 2pm every weekday, activities such as Crazy Art, Bath Bombing, Little Arpeggios & Puppet Shows are being organised.
