Central New Brighton Primary School are conducting some Community Consultation on the proposed merger of local schools. They’re encouraging community people to give feedback, and a form can be downloaded from their website at: http://www.cnb.school.nz/
FREE School Holiday Activities at New Brighton Library ran by our youthworkers! 2pm every weekday, activities such as Crazy Art, Bath Bombing, Little Arpeggios & Puppet Shows are being organised. Children are not to come unsupervised, and there is no registration needed. See Poster for more details 🙂

A group of boys from our local primary schools had a fun filled Saturday with our youthleaders paintballing, archery, ultimate frizbee, movie & pizza’s! It was the first GDO and such a success that it looks like it will become a termy event! Thanks to our male mentor Matt Barnes, for organising it. Photos can be seen on our Facebook page 🙂

One way of supporting local schools is through sports – including coaching some of the local school team. James coaches the senior football team at Central New Brighton, and Amber coaches the Netball Team at North New Brighton. Both teams have just finished their weekly tournament at Hagley Park, and done themsleves proud. The Central New Brighton team have only lost one game all season, and recently punched
above their weight at the Canterbury Tournament at Hagley Park.
Competing with all the best schools from the region, the CNB Team won 4 out of
their 6 games, including upsets over St Jospehs of Papanui, Ashgrove & St
Martins. The boys wore their CNB shirts with pride and received positive
comments from other coaches. Well Done to both teams!

The Trust runs an array of
youth programmes in local Schools and after school clubs, as well as Holiday
Programmes, Camps, Mentoring, Library Support, Community Events and Volunteer
Training. The role includes two days per week of lectures and tuition, and
two days of practical work. You will join an existing team of youth
workers who have a passion for young people, a love for God and a heart to
serve! You will also join a church family that has a big heart for
supporting the local community and doing what it can to serve it. The scholarship is targeted at an 18-25 year
