10. Volunteer Training

We attract, train and encourage volunteers to work in their community through our programmes.  We love seeing children work their way through our programmes, and then go on to become junior leaders, then senior leaders and even sometimes staff.  Volunteers are placed on different Safer Street Programmes and learn through practical service, team meetings, training events throughout the year and from other more experienced youthworkers around them.  We also host Youthwork Interns who are studying for a career in youthwork, offering them experience, support and a structure fortheir practical work.
