Another weekend of free family activities in Christchurch – gee we’re blessed to live here (remind people of that, when you hear complaints that there’s nothing to do!) Check out Meet in the Middle as part of the The Breeze Walking Festival celebrating the partial opening of the trail, at Kerrs Reach. Join treks on foot or bike from either end of the trail (City or Sea) and meet in the middle at Kerrs Reach for a family fun day with kids activities, a multi-code regatta with kayak, waka, rowing, and dragon boat racing, as well as live entertainment on stage 12-3pm with Hollie Smith and Adam McGrath (The Eastern). Also Sunday at the Groynes from 9am – 1pm is Take a Kid Fishing where 830 salmon and 20 trophy rainbow trout were released this week. No registration or fishing licence necessary – expecting a crowd of 5000 people. Enjoy the weekend
